Tools

It is axiomatic to say that the tools used in a technical program must operate together seamlessly to produce quality output, whether in a localization program or otherwise. The TMS, MT engine, automation layer, QA tool, integrations.

When tools clash, problems ripple downstream. Deliveries miss the mark on quality, stakeholders are called in to develop workarounds. The cause tends to be that various tools, starting with the TMS, were implemented at different points in time.

The TMS ends up serving some needs quite well, but others poorly. Once it has taken root, not only is it difficult to move, but the pressure to expand takes over. Globalization is underway. Executives want results.

It becomes genuinely hard to step back and ask: how is this actually working?

Click the 'Assess my stack' button below. A chat window will open and ask about your tools. At the end, you can leave a Cohesion rating. After submitting, you will get a brief AI assessment of your stack: integration patterns, gaps, and one concrete suggestion.

Results

Once enough practitioners have contributed their stacks, we will publish which tool combinations are most common, how they rate overall, and where friction concentrates by category.

The threshold is meaningful data, not just volume.
